SUMMARY:2017 Florida's Constitutional Revision Commission
DESCRIPTION:Every 20 years a Constitutional Revision Commission is appointed to examine the Florida Constitution\, hold public hearings and possibly recommend changes to the Florida Constitution. The Commission will have the opportunity to review all amendments to the Constitution and may review the Net Limitation Amendment that was approved in 1994 by 72% of Florida's voters. CCA will follow the meetings closely and will work with the appointed members.\n\n\n\nThe Constitutional Revision Commission is a group of thirty-seven appointed Florida Citizens\, fifteen of whom are appointed by the Governor\, nine by the Speaker of the House\, nine by the Senate President\, three members are chosen by the Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court and the Florida Attorney General is an automatic member. The Constitutional Revision Commission meets for approximately one year\, traveling the state\, identifying issues\, performing research and gathering public input.\n\n\n\nYou can attend and participate in these statewide public hearings to make sure the issues that you care about are considered by the Commission.
