2016 BIA Government Affairs Working Group Invitation

On Thursday, October 20, 2016, our Government Affairs Committee is hosting a "Government Affairs Working Group Reception" at the Plantation Golf and Country Club from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Carl Barraco, Jr., BIA Government Affairs Chair, and Mike Welch, BIA Public Policy Director, are arranging the event.

The purpose of the reception is to attract our members to the committee. I am encouraging you to attend and to identify members of your organizations to possibly join this important committee. In an informal setting of a reception we have invited one of our most ardent supporters, Lee County Commissioner Cecil Pendergrass, to give a brief overview of the role and influence of government on our industry and a discussion of the upcoming regulatory issues facing Lee County.
